I'll be a strong, lively, high profile voice who's always stood up for Liberal principle. I'm loyal to my values - which is why I defended Charles Kennedy as leader to the end - and why I stick up for colleagues under fire in the media.

I've spoken and campaigned for the Lib Dems in every part of the UK and I was a councillor for half a decade before becoming and MP in 1997.

I've ALWAYS said President is the job for me. I was runner up to Simon Hughes in the 2004 Presidential election - I said that I'd stand again and I'm keeping that promise now. It's the right time for me. I connect with the Party by going everywhere I can, year in, year out for two decades. I've spoken countrywide at Party events, conferences and training sessions for half my life!
