In response to the story in the Sun Newspaper today that Lembit Öpik has "signed up" for Celebrity Big Brother, a spokesman for Lembit Öpik has said that"this story is utterly untrue and Lembit has no intention of being a contestant on this show."

More than five hundred people have signed up to the official "Lembit Öpik for Lib Dem Party President!" Facebook group. The Group was only launched a week ago and already has more members than both the other candidates.
